Ethiopian 787-8 Fire Heathrow

An Ethiopian 787 caught fire while sitting at the gate/ parking area. Nobody was injured due to the fire. Just Ethiopian Airlines received the bad news of their 787...And Heathrow airport was closed for about 2 hours which caused airplanes to divert to other airports/delays. Boeing has to be passing through a hard time just to imagine another fire has happen to their newest B788 (787-8). After having 787 battery problems that caused the 787 to be grounded for months. But after fixing the issues, and getting the 787 back to commercial service, and now this unreasonable fire that sent shouters to the entire aviation sector. I believe that the Boeing 787-8 airplane is great, if the fire started while parked on the ground. It could  be anything from a cabin galley fire, perhaps where the meals/coffee are prepare. There has been numerous incidents due to galley oven fires.

Or another battery problem.  But definitely some system got over heated to the point of ignition. I could only hope for updates. The NTSB is on their way to investigate.

The one great thing I learned about the composite materials that make the 787 is that the composite skin of the 787 melts at a minimum 649 degrees F.
